Harmonizing Action
GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition is thankful for the partnership with Packaging Europe to co-locate the SPC Engage 2024 event with the Sustainable Packaging Summit at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.
Attendees came away inspired to work together in taking collaborative action towards developing harmonized solutions. Just as partnerships and working together are the best way forward, we couldn’t have done it without our phenomenal keynotes, speakers, collaborators, our team, and of course, the attendees.
Event Highlights
SPC Engage will be centered around Harmonizing Action. The program will include areas of collaboration and common ground such as the evolution of on-pack labeling, evaluating packaging formats and product portfolios in different world regions to find opportunities for reduction & redesign; finding commonalities of reusable packaging systems to scale them; the role of biodiversity as an ESG priority for packaging; learnings from standardized testing methods; and how to bring data together in a global level to address global challenges.
Climate change and the work to reduce carbon emissions is a global challenge. There are great initiatives underway in North America and Western Europe, and we face similar challenges when it comes to packaging sustainability, managing packaging portfolios and scopes of materials, consumer education, on-pack labeling and behavior change, recovery systems and infrastructure and policy changes. Coming together to showcase how initiatives in different regions can learn from each other and be harmonized it’s exactly in line with GreenBlue’s mission of education, collaboration and action through our member companies.
