Chris Wirth is a vice president of AMP Robotics with responsibility for marketing, business development, and government affairs. Wirth brings more than 25 years of business-to-business (B2B) experience at companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies in the technology, sustainability, government, finance, and industrial sectors. Prior to AMP, he held roles in marketing at Flex Ltd (NASDAQ: FLEX) incubating an internal international energy start-up and was vice president of marketing for Spruce Finance (formerly Clean Power Finance), a solar energy financier backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Google Ventures.
Before his time at Spruce, Wirth held B2B marketing and channel development roles at two renewable energy start-ups where he led go-to-market functions for market expansion of solar energy technology and project development in government and commercial sectors. He also managed international and government channel development for a subsidiary of defense giant BAE Systems plc (LSE: BA) and led channel strategy and market analytics for Interline Brands (acquired by Home Depot), a national distributor of building and construction supplies. Wirth was a lead market strategies and analyst for VML (now VMLY&R, a WPP plc company), a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies, serving clients ranging from Bayer Crop Science to Intuit TurboTax. Wirth started his career in the semiconductor capital equipment industry leading business development for a Tier 1 contract manufacturer to Applied Materials and other market leaders.
Wirth holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from San Jose State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Florida.
