Paula Leardini leads the Recovery Pillar at SPC. Besides providing our members with education and guidance on packaging recovery, she facilitates collaboration among members on challenges and opportunities to take collective action to advance the recovery of packaging materials. Prior to joining SPC, Paula worked as a Plastics Recycling Analyst Team Lead at ICIS and Sustainability Project Manager at Townsend Solutions. With over 15 years in the plastics industry across the globe, the last 8 have been dedicated to sustainability, which is her passion. Paula is a Chemical Engineer from Brazil and holds a Master’s in International Management from England.
What is your why?
I dream about a world without waste. By doing this work, I move towards that dream by increasing recovery of packaging to be recycled into new applications, with the ultimate goal of reducing waste and pollution.
