SPC Announces New Executive Committee Members and Opens Nominations for Three Seats

Today, the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC) is excited to announce the inclusion of seven members on its new Executive Committee and to invite nominations for three open seats. Members can now nominate themselves and fellow members to the open seats until August 22, 2025.

The SPC Executive Committee is designed to support SPC’s strategy as we move the sustainable packaging industry forward. The Committee will provide guidance and insights that inform programming, initiatives, resources, and organizational direction to ensure that SPC is meeting the needs of our members, our industry, and our environment.

SPC is grateful for participants who’ve served on previous iterations of the Committee; their dedication and direction helped shape our coalition as we know it today. Now, we look forward to building on their legacy to advance our mission and drive even greater impact across sustainable packaging.

We’re proud to announce that the SPC members participating on the new Committee are:

  • Scott Byrne, Vice President, Global Sustainability, Sonoco
  • Patrick Keenan, R&D Principal Engineer, General Mills
  • Dianne Marret, Vice President Sustainability, Consumer Packaging North America, Amcor
  • Teo Medellin, Director, Corporate Packaging Sustainability, Procter & Gamble
  • Kelly Murosky, Senior Packaging and Sustainability Manager – Health & Wellbeing Collective, Unilever
  • Megan Robison, Product Development Manager, PrintPack
  • Matthew Swenson, Senior Packaging Manager, Amazon

The Committee will build on the collaboration that is at the heart of SPC’s work, bringing together key stakeholders from across the value chain to prioritize industry progress over any one organization’s agenda. With decades of combined insights and unique expertise, the Committee will strengthen our members’ capacity to drive industry alignment, shape strategies, and accelerate sustainable packaging solutions.

“The future of sustainable packaging has always been shaped by SPC members,” said SPC Director Olga Kachook. “When SPC members get together in settings like our Executive Committee, we work to make sure that the sustainable packaging future we need isn’t just possible, it’s inevitable.”

Nominate SPC Members to the SPC Executive Committee

SPC is excited to invite more members into the nomination process to fill three open seats on the Committee. The SPC member community can nominate themselves or fellow members by submitting a nomination here before the deadline of August 22, 2025.

By nominating yourself or someone you know to the Committee, you’re helping to make sure that voices from across the packaging value chain will shape SPC’s direction as we move the sustainable packaging industry forward.

Because the Committee is designed to enhance the power of our membership, nominees must be current SPC members in order to be eligible for participation on the Committee.

After nominations are complete, SPC will invite members to vote on the finalists in early September.
