Mickel Knight

After six years in the US Navy Nuclear Power Program, Mickel earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, and an MS ChE from the University of Illinois.  Realizing the number of children running around the house made a PhD untenable, Mickel entered the packaging industry. After stints at Viskase and Cryovac, Mickel joined in Printack in 2004.

Mickel is knowledgeable in the blown, cast and double bubble film production processes, and has extensive experience in peel seal systems, moisture barrier applications, and industrial release liners.  Mickel has been increasingly focused on packaging sustainability. His goal is to play a role in making sustainable packaging solutions economically viable.

In his free time, aside from spending time with his lovely wife and two boxers, Mickel enjoys board games, reading and sports.
