James Calder

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

James just celebrated his 25th anniversary at the Museum and has served in many capacities. In his current role as a Facilities Manager, he supports everything from daily operations to infrastructure projects and strategic initiatives.

He oversees the Museum’s recycling programs, manages its Environmental Management System and has been involved in all the Museum’s sustainability initiatives. He’s witnessed the advance of the Museum’s sustainability program from the early days of simple office paper recycling, to the Museum recently being named one of the top 50 greenest companies in Colorado.

The Museum is committed to being a showcase of sustainability and helping Colorado be a leader on the national stage. In 2018, the Museum served 2 million guests and continues to advance its vision of an empowered community that loves, understands, and protects the natural world.

James is a native of Colorado who enjoys being outdoors and hiking with his dogs.
