The Goals Database
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)
Responsible Fiber Sourcing
We also include environmental criteria in our packaging supplier selection. We give preference to suppliers with a strong environmental performance and a commitment to source paper from responsibly managed forests.
Renewable / Alternative Energy
In 2016, we committed to sourcing 50% renewable energy for our operations by 2025 – with a long-term goal to achieve 100%
Our goal is to increase the energy performance of our product portfolio 30 times by 2025, compared to 2015
Detailed supplier guidelines promote the use of efficient packaging design and use of sustainable materials.
In our own operations, we aim to reduce water consumption wherever possible, predominantly in data center cooling.
We are focused on reducing our consumption in water-scarce regions where HPE operates.
We strongly encourage our production suppliers (materials, components, and assembly providers) to set goals, thoroughly track, and transparently report their water consumption.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions
In 2016, we…set a science-based target to reduce operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 25% compared to 2015.
[By 2025] Reduce supply chain manufacturing-related GHG emissions by 15% compared to 2015, requiring 80% of our manufacturing suppliers to set science-based emissions reduction targets
Manufacturing / Operational Waste
Throughout our operations and supply chain we look for opportunities to minimize waste generation, as well as recycle and reuse where possible.
As part of our Supply Chain Responsibility (SCR) program, we work with suppliers on responsible waste management….We work with our suppliers to accurately track and report performance toward their waste reduction goals and to improve the quality of reporting and engagement.
