Over the past year, many Fortune 500 companies have made announcements that they will purchase wind and solar power directly from large, off-site projects in order to meet their carbon reduction targets or other renewable energy goals. The June Open Forum will provide an overview of the Structured Power Purchase Agreement approach that is being used by most of these companies, with information about how it works, why companies are using this approach, and pros and cons compared to other types of renewable energy purchases (RECs, on-site solar, etc.).
